Cik Midah X Usahanita Digital 2.0

The Journey of Cik Midah in Usahanita Digital 2.0

What started as a simple love for sambal became a digital journey full of learning, connections and unexpected milestones.

When Cik Midah Sambal was selected to join the Usahanita Digital 2.0 program, organised by Wanita Berdaya Selangor (WBS), we knew it was going to be an exciting ride  but we also knew it would not be easy.

During the launch, WBS gave us a briefing on the challenges ahead. The road to the finals would be tough, with 5 phases, and in each phase participants would be filtered based on performance.

Phase 1 – The Beginning

A total of 203 participants attended the first phase. We were given our very first assignment  to be completed and submitted for evaluation. Only those who passed would proceed to the next stage.

Phase 2 – Workshop

From the first round, the number was reduced. For Phase 2, only 120 participants remained. The journey continued to Phase 2 of the workshop a 2-day capacity building session packed with knowledge and challenges. 

During this session, we were tasked to build our own website through the SPRI E-Commerce platform, integrated with SenangPay payment gateway, courier partnerships, effective pitching techniques, and many other essential skills to grow the business

Phase 3 – The Digital Bazar Challenge

By Phase 3, only 81 participants were selected to join the Usahanita Digital Bazar. This was a big turning point — our websites and online sales were evaluated by a panel of judges.

After the assessments, the number was cut down again to 40 participants, who would move on to the next nerve wracking stage: pitching.

Phase 4 – The Pitching Room

This was the moment I had been both looking forward to and dreading. We were split into two groups. Cik Midah was assigned to Room 2, participant number 8.

Honestly? My heart was pounding. My stomach was in knots. This was the moment where only 10 finalists would be selected  to be crowned Usahanita Digital 2.0 Icons.

Phase 5 – The Final Sprint

Alhamdulillah, Cik Midah made it to the Top 10 Finals!

But the journey wasn’t over. There were more assignments to complete before the final presentation. It was intense. This was where teamwork mattered the most.

Thanks to Team SPRii E-Commerce  Mr Wee KIat & Madam Umi  , our dedicated facilitators, and my supportive Team Hijau Muda, we powered through. Some nights I stayed up until 3 a.m. just to finish the work  but we made it.

A Win Beyond Numbers

Making it to the Top 9 out of 200+ participants is more than just an achievement for Cik Midah Sambal. It’s proof that with perseverance, collaboration, and a strong community, even a homegrown sambal brand can stand proud on a big stage.

Perjalanan Cik Midah dalam Usahanita Digital 2.0

Bermula dari dapur kecil dengan semangat besar, Cik Midah Sambal melangkah ke dunia digital melalui program Usahanita Digital 2.0.

Apabila Cik Midah Sambal terpilih menyertai program Usahanita Digital 2.0 anjuran Wanita Berdaya Selangor (WBS), kami tahu perjalanan ini akan jadi sesuatu yang mencabar tetapi penuh peluang.

Masa pelancaran program, pihak WBS sudah pun memberi taklimat tentang cabaran-cabaran yang bakal kami hadapi untuk mara ke peringkat akhir. Ada 5 fasa keseluruhan, dan setiap fasa akan ada proses penapisan berdasarkan prestasi dan tugasan yang diberikan.

Fasa 1 – Permulaan

Seramai 203 peserta hadir pada fasa pertama. Tugasan pertama diberikan dan dinilai oleh pihak WBS. Hanya yang berjaya akan mara ke fasa seterusnya.

Fasa 2 - Bengkel

Daripada fasa pertama, jumlah peserta semakin berkurang. Untuk fasa kedua, hanya 120 peserta yang layak meneruskan perjalanan. 

2 hari bengkel pembangunan kapasiti yang penuh ilmu dan cabaran. Dalam sesi ini, kami diberikan tugasan membina website sendiri melalui platform e-commerce oleh SPRI E-Commerce, dilengkapkan dengan payment gateway SenangPay, kerjasama dengan syarikat kurier, teknik pitching yang berkesan, dan pelbagai lagi kemahiran penting untuk memajukan perniagaan.

Fasa 3 – Cabaran Bazar Digital

Pada fasa ketiga, hanya 81 peserta terpilih untuk menyertai Bazar Usahanita Digital.

Di sinilah penilaian jadi lebih mendalam — laman web dan jualan online kami dinilai oleh barisan panel juri. Selepas proses penilaian, hanya 40 peserta dipilih untuk ke peringkat pitching.

Fasa 4 – Debaran Pitching

Inilah saat yang paling mendebarkan. Kami dibahagikan kepada dua kumpulan. Cik Midah ditempatkan di Bilik 2, peserta nombor 8.

Masa ni jujur, perut dah rasa kecut. Hanya 10 finalis sahaja yang akan dipilih untuk dinobatkan sebagai Ikon Usahanita Digital 2.0.

Fasa 5 – Larian Terakhir ke Pentas Akhir

Alhamdulillah, Cik Midah berjaya mara ke Top 10 Finalis!

Namun perjuangan belum berakhir. Masih ada tugasan terakhir yang perlu disiapkan sebelum final presentation. Masa inilah kerja berpasukan sangat penting.

Syukur, ada team SPRii E-Commerce terima kasih Tuan Wee KIat & Puan Umi , fasilitator yang berdedikasi, dan geng Team Hijau Muda yang sentiasa membantu. Ada malam, Cik Midah sanggup bersengkang mata sampai pukul 3 pagi untuk siapkan tugasan terakhir  dan akhirnya berjaya disiapkan tepat pada masanya.

Kemenangan Lebih Dari Sekadar Nombor

Berada di Top 9 daripada lebih 200 peserta adalah satu pencapaian besar buat Cik Midah Sambal. Ia membuktikan bahawa dengan kesungguhan, kerjasama, dan ekosistem sokongan yang betul — jenama sambal buatan rumah pun boleh berdiri megah di pentas besar. Alhamdulillah
